Conference Registration Questions

The 2027 Conference registration fee is $225 for each attendee.  If paying online the total is $233 (registration + merchant fee).  Although Venmo charges a small merchant fee, the association will continue to absorb that expense. 

Last year we limited the conference to a total of 100 people (attendees, presenters & vendors).  After reaching full capacity, every time we encountered a cancellation, we had someone waiting to take their seat.  This year, we feel confident that we can handle up to a maximum of 125. And based on the feedback from our 2026 conference, we are hopeful in surpassing last year's attendance.

2026 was our first ever conference and we learned a lot.  For 2027, we are working hard to provide breakout sessions in addition to the large group sessions.  We'll be sharing more information as our conference agenda continues to develop. Our desire is to have breakout sessions that will speak more directly to those that are in Fire/Rescue... Law Enforcement... those that have been at it a while... or perhaps those that are brand new to the field.

Registration opens in mid-January 2027.  We will be posting a link to the registration form on our website as well as sending it out via email and social media at that time.  To register: Complete the registration form and submit it, and then either use the online payment link or mail a check or complete one of the other payment options.  Once we have your registration form and payment, you are good to go!

Yes!  If you have paid your 2027 membership dues (or if you were a 2026 member and have renewed your membership), you will have the opportunity to register at a reduced rate!!!  We will have a registration form just for our members in the Members Only area of our website.  

During registration, there will be a place to indicate by which method you will use to make payment.  Please select check, Venmo or other and then follow through with those methods after submitting your registration form.  Please remember that your registration is not complete until your payment is received.

Yes!  We are dog friendly. And most importantly, our venue hotel is dog friendly!  But before you do, we kindly ask that you only bring your certified therapy dog partner if they can appropriately behave themselves around other dogs.  Last year we had some 40-45 dogs present. So, your partner needs to be pet friendly out of respect for the other attendees.

Please do not bring non-certified therapy dogs into the conference room or breakout sessions.

We try to be people friendly, too!  So, we'll have a variety of snacks for you each day. But back to our four-legged friends...  please note that we will once again have several waste containers near the entrance doors for poop bag disposal.  Please be sure to help us out by picking up after your dog throughout the conference.

Please keep in mind that all cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to FRTk9association@gmail.com.  Rather that cancel, would you consider transferring your registration?

Can't make it? You may transfer your registration to a colleague at no additional cost up until June 1, 2027.

To transfer a registration, please email FRTk9association@gmail.com with your original attendee registrant information and the name, email and organization of the new attendee.

You can receive a full refund (minus any credit card processing fees) if your request is received on or before March 31, 2027.

Requests received between April 1 and May 15, 2027, will receive a 50% refund.

Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or requests received after May 15, 2027.

A refund check will be mailed to the original registrant or agency. On request, we can refund a credit card, but please be aware that an additional merchant fee will be charged.
